Asssassin’s Creed developer says ‘there’s no radical differences’ between WiiU, PS3 and Xbox 360
Assassin’s Creed developer reveals just how easy it’s taken to the WiiU
Assassin’s Creed III will be released on the WiiU, Xbox 360 and PS3 and, incredibly, it’ll be the same game on all platforms. When was the last time a Triple-A game could boast that? Speaking to games™ in a recent interview, creative director on the project, Alex Hutchinson, not only spoke highly on Nintendo’s new machine, but also said he doesn’t see a great shift between the three.
“One of the studios we work with that does a big chunk [on Assassin's Creed] took over making sure it worked on the WiiU, and I didn’t hear many complaints. They didn’t have much trouble getting it up and running and that’s exiting for the console as well as it means when other developers switch over it won’t be night and day; it won’t be a nightmare to develop for. There’s no radical differences between the platforms.”
A suggestion that the WiiU is in the same ballpark as its rivals, or simply Ubisoft Montreal having no problems with the new technology? If Nintendo every decides to reveal the specs for its upcoming hardware we’ll know for sure.
