I am amazed, and frankly disappointed, that the entire 4x genre was excluded from your 100 games.
It’s a hard and always controvertial to release a “top 100″, but to drop an entire genre, and ignore a series that consistently won “Game of the Year” awards is a dereliction of duty!
Games appear to have been chosen both for their playability, and their genre-defining moments. How games like King’s Bounty, Civilisation, Master of Magic, or Master of Orion are ALL omitted from the list is a disgrace.
Disappointed.
