Medal Of Honor reboot “was dignified” says Special Forces soldier
Medal Of Honor: Warfighter producer says Tier 1 members “loved” EA’s depiction of War on Terror
In an interview with games™ concerning the upcoming Medal of Honor: Warfighter, Danger Close executive producer Greg Goodrich waxes lyrical on the game’s controversial predecessor.
“I’m very, very proud of the last game,” he tells us. “Sure, it wasn’t perfect. Sure, people had issues. Some people loved it. The audience that we made it for, the guys that we tried to pay tribute to and honour, to the men that I’ve heard back from – they loved it, they appreciated it.”
He continued: “One of the Tier 1 operators I met just recently… I’ve never met him before… he said, ‘You know I never thought I’d say this about a game but it was… it was dignified.’”
Warfighter – which will attempt to place the player more definitely in a warzone, incorporating door breaching mechanics and more up-close gun combat – is previewed in full detail in games™ Issue 121, on sale 12th April, 2012.
