E3 2011: Top 10 cringeworthy E3 moments
With just hours to go until this year’s event kicks off, we take a look back at some of E3′s more squirming moments. Long may they continue.
Skyward Sword, Indeed (2010)
Maybe we’re expecting a little too much, but when the sole reason of E3 is to showcase the very latest, most technologically advanced and anticipated of future games, we’d have thought that publishers and developers alike carefully plan every instance and parameter of their game demo in order to avoid any unnecessary blunders. Case in point, Nintendo’s 2010 presentation of The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword in which “Wi-Fi interference” causes the Wii sensor to fail to recognise any of Shigeru Miyamoto’s movements. Cue an embarrassed Miyamoto who seems lost for words, effectively trumping the spectacle of the latest Zelda in one fell swoop.
