Xbox 360 Sales to be Banned in Germany

A recent German court ruling brought by Motorola against Microsoft could see the 360 banned from sale in Germany, together with IE and Windows 7. The German court ban is deferred pending consideration by a US court. Its related to Intellectual Property issues on video coding and playback.

Headline : A US judge has ruled that Google's Motorola unit cannot ban sales of Microsoft's Xbox 360 games console because of a patent dispute.

Judge James Robart's ruling came part-way through a trial in which the handset maker is claiming its rival should pay up to $4bn (£2.5bn; 3bn euros) a year for use of its connectivity and video-coding patents.
