if you buy 4200 points from here: cheapxboxlivecodes.com it works out at £25.135. play.com have it for preorder at £24.99 & amazon at £24.73. i think id prefer the hard copy tbh, space on the aul 60gb hdd is getting a bit tight.

EA and BioWare are supporting the Dragon Age franchise with ambitious downloadable content plans and even an expansion. On top of that, we may have just discovered the release date for the upcoming sequel. Retail copies of Dragon Age: Origins Awakening arrived at the 1UP offices today, and included in the box was a placard with an intriguing hint. The iconic bloody dragon accompanies the date, February 1, 2011.

As far as release dates go, this one is being dropped much sooner than most, as well as in an unconventional manner. But February 1 falls on a Tuesday next year, the traditional game release day [in the US], and an EA conference call already revealed the Dragon Age sequel would be hitting between January and March of 2011.

While we'll have to wait for word from EA and BioWare to call it official, this fits comfortably in that range, and so it seems likely as the date for the sequel. Mark your calendars, Dragon Age fans.

Really loving this game after a few hours. The graphics were a bit dissapointing at first but after a few hours you realise that they easily do the job. The cut scenes are superb though, the big battle at Ostagar was the mutts nuts.

I think that the combat is passing me by a bit but I get the feeling that you get in to it the further into the game you are. Its pretty good fun though. Can't beat a bit of high fantasy, though there is far more humour in it than you might think from the general image of the game.

Playing a RPG for 20 minutes is like watching 10 seconds of a movie, I wouldn't expect an opinion from that.

Ive got it too but i decided to give Metro 2033 a blast tonight.

Played it today for about 2 hour's - There's really nothing that i can say 'sticks out', although it seems a lot harder than usual. Anyway, if you enjoyed DA:O, you'll enjoy this.

will the "buy disc - install to hdd - return as unwanted gift to supermarket" trick work with this like the oblivion & fallout 3 dlc did (considering it is just a big dlc)?

I've played the first couple hours of this tonight and I'm quite enjoying it.

I think the comment it's 'more of the same' is pretty much on the money, I don't know about it being any harder than the original but then it all depends how you spec your character.

It's significantly more substantial than the other dlc offerings that have been put out so far. Well, it's a full blown expansion at £20, so it would want to be. But I think for the price, so far anyway, it seems worth it if you enjoyed DA.

finally completed the main quest of DA:O today. loved every minute of this game.

Whats the extension like? does it carry on from when you complete it? or is it meant to be played before

The price for this on PS3 is a frikkin joke.
I got the Platinum on this and traded it in (I regret that btw). So I would have to buy the game again (£20ish) and then fork out the £32 for the actual expansion. Why is it so much? It's only £25 for the 360 based disk version?

I am pretty gutted too, as I was really looking forward to it.
