Pick and mix again yesterday hopped back and forth listing out for other headsets as always a rare commodity, did have one odd experience though from his PSN tag i would have guessed he was spanish as he didn't reply to any prompts no english, but he was a heavy heavy breather but im glad to say he trooper was moving and firing so no one handed play there.

I have taken to when in a team with no headsets calling out plays, positions etc. so far this has earned me two PSN friends or maybe im wrong and there just random's,but one did follow me around like a lost puppy (as always sent out a no under 15 's thank you, though i do have one youngster on my list i only play when his uncle's on to) the evening play was better two friends joined and some excellent play was had on Valparaiso A.took up sniper position on the waterfall ridge (cheap i know but effective) S.took to the uav (spotting only) i covered his back 9 kills and two apc's later it was another victory,team-play can be very sweet at times.

Now got 3 forum/psn friends thank for the invite folks, but this has brought to the fore something of a character flaw on my part, perhaps it a natural reserve or maybe a fear of rejection or maybe my unfamiliarity with the digital age but i have yet to send out a friend request or for BC2 a match invite, ive always fell back on telling my psn's to invite me if they have the space, its strange but to me it feels a little presumptuous to barge in.

Anyway back to the game:

Well ive now maxed out out engineer and medic not sure where to go now, checking my sigg (praise be to the Sly) i haven't even touched assult yet and given my dislike of the sniper/mortar combo....i flip a coin tonight let chance decide, but only for solo play (team medic reporting SIR).

Playing randoms last night, had great fun listing to a german lad curse out everybody incompetence but his own (he new some english) did try to team up with him but A:just wouldn't listen B:charging across open ground into 4-5 enemy troopers isnt really a good idea, still it was fun but he'll probably have a heart attack by the time he's 30.

I DO NOT F######G BELEIVE IT I WAS HAVING THE BEST GAME OF MY LIFE 59/16,59 KILLS ,!59!, 5 NEMISIS PINS !5! AN IN GAME SCORE OF 4480,TOTAL SCORE 13480 AND IT LOST CONECCTION ON THE NEXT GAME.

Please tell me my score is not lost to the ether, almost smashed my pad, im not one to get overwrought usually but that was soul destroying.

After taking several (dozen)deep breathes i do now release the irony of my actions, just yesterday i was amused by the raving of a german lad and here i am doing the same (but 59 come on) i could promise not to mock people in the future, but this is unlikely so im of to sulk for a while night night.

( #)=(Remember the two dutch cops played by paul whitehouse and harry enfeild, just remember their accent for later)

(BD)-The saying goes that once is an accident, twice is a coincidence but three times is enemy action.Well three times now i have took post behind the heavy machine gun in the second floor portacabin overlooking B in nelson bay and three times I've got a Epic Fail, the f#####g things jinxed stay away from it.

Got an hour and a half in Friday night a couple of OK games where had, then teamed up with a Dutch lad,as we both had headsets going we called out plays etc. as you do,during a lull in the action he asked where i was from (#) "Ahh Scotland yes you have a very sexy accent" ..... you know those moments when time slows down.... this was one of those, thankfully i got head shot by a sniper and quickly called out his position and the game moved on.

Like most hetero-sexual males if a guy says something overtly sexual to you,you double take, have a brain fart, run, lash out, start talking about the match last night etc.etc.etc. Whatever option suits your character, this did blindside me a little though I've been propositioned before (apparently I'm a teddy or big bear type ?) in a club you can walk away, but in the box room on my own his breathing in my ear it was unnerving.

Just got slaughtered again this afternoon lots of 35+ players out on PSN today, slowly (very slowly) leveling up the sniper but its not really a class im happy with, but it is useful on Isla Inocentes (but only if its 2-3 snipers any more and nothing gets done).
Did find two more players mucking about with the UAV but they never got higher than 10-15 feet.

(BD)-once again my own bizarre death to report defending a base in conquest, had just started laying mines when a mortar strike came in i ran to get clear and waited when the last mortar set my own mine off EPIC FAIL,must have been due to the upgrade explosives add on.

Average afternoon's play today but it was lit up with the addition of two PSN friends, one a local Scots lad the other from Holland i could barely control myself listening to them try to communicate, the Scots lad is a nice enough guy but his speech patterns is....well.....he's a ned basically and though i can understand him fine the dutch lad was struggling,to his credit the scotch lad picked up on this and did try and over enunciate to get his point across, but even though the dutch boy can speak English,German and dutch of course it wasn't quite a meeting of minds.

Was hoping for some match's last night but by the new update didn't have time, did peruse through the in-game store and (this is just a guess though) i suspect the first thing everyone will do is download the alternate medic costume, anything to get rid of that kill me quick hat.

Excellent evening's play today.
I have taken a dislike to Arica conquest but today it actually played well.Once again in a team with no headset's but most seemed to understand English so as usual i keep calling out the plays and it did help, but still as soon as one team gets all three flags it becomes very hard to dislodge them(4 matches 2W/2L).

The better game was on Valparaiso rush as usual no headsets at first but as i started calling out plays one of the team i was on started up,seems he only usually wears a headset for his team, its strange I've almost always made a point of switching on and though i have had some pretty bad encounters it's still worth the effort to try on random play, perhaps as I'm still new to online play i haven't settled into the play with my mates mentality.

Once again it was a dutch lad (meet more dutch than any other nationality) lucked out again he was a heavy gamer and happy to teach,i didn't know that you can only use one sniper sensor at a time, been throwing them out willy'nilly.

Have even went against type and sent a PSN invite to him,so will wait and see there.

Well I've hit the 60h (61h19m) wall, and still no real inclination of stopping play.

Currently on the leader board (3/4/2010.11.33pm) at 51686 so still away-es from the 20000 target i set myself in the demo, but i think its time to switch out the lights in the amateur club house, please note I'm not fooling myself i still consider myself at best an average player at worst a liability on the field.

Still its been fascinating chronicling my adventures in the game, from the Herbal Reaper to racist scum its been great, the last multi-player i did was Goldeneye so many years ago,so this new online world is full of wonder's and some very very very strange people.

Now to my final report : Just had 3h play and have fully unlocked all but the assult class had a excellent time defending both Valparaiso and Arica harbour (rush) still on average losing more than i win but the play's the thing.
As usual very few headsets in play did have to switch mine of at one point as all i could hear was a family of at least 5 popole talking in the background (one of the reasons i play in the box room is no background noise).

Well that's all i can think of tonight, I'm not stopping play,my habit of mono play means it will be 2-3 months before i finally move on to another game,So to any forum members on the PSN drop me a play-date (?) and if I'm free ill be happy to join up.

I do owe you a solid Sly,so i will continue for a while longer...

Finally got some GAMESTM headset team play,NeoViper on sunday morning it was good, and as i keep saying we don't lose its only practice when you lose.

Noticed the online BC2 thread chatting about sniper positions have came across two irritating ones :

Arica Harbour : Several times now I've had to deal with attacking snipers (rush second crates) who have found a way to climb the ridge line overlooking the town on the left flank, its only happen occasionally so it must be hard to get up there.

Valparaiso : At first i thought this was pilot error when i saw the chopper crash into the lighthouse roof then get stuck for a minute or so,but turns out it was dropping off two snipers, two very good snipers.

Yeah, was a good laugh. I'm surprised you don't lose your voice when you play that game as you don't stop talking! Keep going though, it's useful for me as a noob having a running commentary of everything that's happening, as well as being highly entertaining! That was particularly amusing when you respawned on the back of my quad bike just as I jumped off and let it explode. The first thing I knew about that was when you bellowed down the headset "That's the last time I get in a vehicle in with you", or summat like that. Made me laugh hysterically for a bit :D

Anyway, should be online later this evening if you're up for some more.

Information is power dear boy, should be on half seven or so,see you out there.

Think ive guessed why my kit went missing though,i replied to your invite without booting up the game so it didn't access my E.A. account properly, have to watch out for that (did it 3 times so far, very slow learner).
