GamesTM Website

Postby Rick on Wed Mar 31, 2010 3:57 pm

Hi guys,

As you may have noticed http://www.gamestm.co.uk has been transformed. Much like a butterfly it has shed its blood cell-esque form and emerged into something beautiful that has some excellent articles and opinion pieces written on it. Reviews, retro, features, and comment articles will feature daily so check back frequently to find out what's new and what we think of it.

Obviously, the site isn't in full swing yet, but it would be wholly appreciated if you'd take the time to look through the articles, leave a few comments, and generally drum up a few debates.

Thanks
Rick

I hope you are planning to put up reviews as they are done, rather than everyone waiting for the magazine to come out.

To answer the questions so far...

1. There's nothing wrong with NowGamer. But NG is a separate entity from gamesTM and both will co-exist, delivering increasingly different content as they evolve.

2. There won't be any personal blogs on the gTM website but we will regularly comment on the biggest news stories in the usual gamesTM style. Podcasts may well follow in the future but are still in discussion internally. If you want one then don't be afraid to ask.

3. Thursday is 'review day' for now and will see us post one or more reviews of that week's biggest games without you having to wait for the magazine to be printed. We won't be posting every single review that appears in the mag, but the biggest releases will all be covered in time where possible.

Pretty much what I'd want from a gamestm news site. If those three points represent how the site is going to evolve then it'll be getting visited a lot by me :).

Nowgamer still has me confused a little though, it feels like a weird mix of various different groups rather than one entity.

Nice one.

Id definitely like a Podcast. Really enjoy it when the odd one of you turns up on the Nowgamer podcast.

I kind of agree with that - but I do like nowgamer - always something new to read.

personally I wish this forum would takeover the nowgamer forum... it's nowhere near as busy as this one. Why have the 2? Fair enough they are different entities as the guy said above - but if they are owned by the same company I can't see the logic...
