 #';.l;#'-= Well that went well.

Made the mistake of losing an online pawn to petrification, foolishly i assumed that like your main pawn you could revive it at the rift stones not so it would seem :( .

Killed my first Evil Eye.

Iv not had access to my xbox for a week and im dying to get playing this again.

Wee question. Iv read about some giant boss type thing you can fight online with other players and you get rewards or something. How do you do this?

Think that might be the undead dragon in everfall, one of my PSNF's told me that you get different drops/drop rate depending not only of you fight at day/night but online/offline as well.

But as far as i know there's no way to play directly with other players other than use their pawns.

Dragon's Dogma 2 hinted at...http://www.psu.com/a016321/

Decided to look the Ur-Dragon up RYAN and it turns out that every time its killed by other players online it gets stronger, this might be what you thinking of.

As for myself I've tried twice but failed as it leaves after about 5min :| .

 Never really considered myself a trophy hunter but i was obsessing over one i just couldn't figure out,and after far to long trudging back and forth across the map i googled it and found out you have to LOSE to the end boss :!: :!: :!: .

Now i loved the quirky Japanese cross-dressing trophy but losing the final battle deliberately...

Just started my third run with just the ur-dragon to beat and my R.P.G./O.C.D. is still going strong  .

I've been toying with this game for months but today is the today that I finally trade it in. Something about it just didn't "click" with me. I felt like there was no sense of direction or purpose. Infact, I sort of feel like that with many JRPG games. I complain about the amount of hand holding these days in games, yet when a game just drops you in the world and tells you to get on with it, I feel like a lost sheep and don't bother playing. I suppose in reality I am the problem

@PlatinumSpectre

To be fair I think that's a perfectly reasonable stance to take on Dragon's Dogma and I for one feel exactly the same. At times DD can be quite cruel in the way it would throw you in at such a deepend so early on in the game, facing you off against enemies that your so ill equipped for and of too low a level.

One of the very early escort missions in the game had me facing off against hordes of ridiculously powerful enemies that I was so ill prepared for and yet this was in an area not really too far from the beginnings of the game. I could understand if this was a misison that I had taken on say at the other end of the game world as I would have expected to get my ass handed to me. Once I had reached my location for completing the escort I kind of gave up on the game as I couldn't face going back through the same area again to face the same re-spawned enemies twice.

I also hated the way when you did decide to venture off on your own, if you randomly came across and NPC the game would automatically assume if this NPC was linked to an escort mission it would decide to put you in this escort mission there and then. I lost two npc's this way as they kept getting in the way when a fight would break out with say an Ogre. You can't even instruct them to hold back, stay there!

Unless I missed something?

It is an incredible game but it does have some very frustrating game play mechanics. Perhaps I'm just too much of a noob with these types of games.

New DLC announced : http://www.psu.com/a017696/New-Dragons- ... -US-Europe

"In case you missed our earlier story, the Challenge Pack includes a Speed Run and Hard mode for the acclaimed fantasy-RPG. Those of you who make it through these new modes in one piece will receive bonus equipment for your character."

Not really interested in the challenge pack, hopefully the Dark Arisen next year will be more interesting.

Forgot to post this lot here when i finished with it...

   Oh F#CK OFF i just spent forty minuets typing out a soliloquy to this game only for the page to expire and log me out so here's the short version..

I've totally missed this game altogether, just noticed a few of the forum members on my friends list playing this lately and decided to find out what its all about, certainly my type of game.
