Apparently my Insane Edition got shipped on saturday. They must have put it on one slow assed delivery service if it's coming out on friday.
The reviews have pretty much all said look past the flaws and it's an excellent game.

I'm still ploughing my way through Doom3 at the moment which shows no signs of being near the finish anytime soon. One helpful site has told me it's gametime lasts from 10 to 22 hours. Some difference.

10-22 hours? So like, if you're good at it it'll take 10 hours, and if you're shit then it'll take 22+ hours?

Far Cry 3 is looking to be amazing - that Map Editor is mental!
When I pre ordered FC3 I had no idea it would end up this big, I would've been happy with another FC2 with just new characters and location!

Far Cry 3: 'Critical' day-one PC patch detailed - Update 1.01 introduces single player and multiplayer fixes

Ubisoft has detailed a day-one Far Cry 3 patch for the PC version of the shooter sequel.

Version 1.01 is described by the publisher as a "critical update that needs to be installed in order to benefit from an optimal game experience".

The install should automatically be triggered upon Uplay PC client restart or installation, but Ubisoft says: "If your Far Cry 3 PC game crashes upon launch, please restart the Uplay PC client and try again."

Here's what the patch fixes:

Multiplayer
•Improved overall Multiplayer stability and performance.
•Added SHOW TOP, SHOW YOU, PAGE UP and PAGE DOWN options in Leaderboards.
•Fix the voice chat issue that would mute players by default.
•Lobby chat can now be accessed when a controller is connected.
Co-op •Fixed graphical issues on loading screen hints.
•Fixed the issue that would prevent maps from being displayed or randomized the first time a user enters Public Co-op.
•Health regeneration option no longer has inverted functionality.
•"Flare gun" kills are no longer considered as Assist kills.
PVP •Fixed ground texture resolution.
•Grass surrounding fire spawns no longer remain red on Firestorm maps.
Map Editor •Improved white objects thumbnails legibility.
•Users can now start a private match in 1 player on user created maps.
Single Player •Improved game stability and performance.
•Fixed issues with flickering on specific water textures.
•Fixed small UI glitches related to different display resolutions.
•"Weapon cache" mission: Mission Zone and Mission Marker no longer stays on mini-map and on screen after mission completion.
•Crafting items are now auto selected when entering a new crafting category.
•Added sound when zooming in and out the camera with the mouse scroll button

Far Cry 3 trade-in deal roundup

Tomorrow’s launch of Far Cry 3 is arguably the last big multi-format release of the year and the usual suspects are pulling out all the stops to try and win market share.

HMV will again be offering the game for nothing when gamers trade in two of the following – 007 Legends, Assassin’s Creed III, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, FIFA 13, Forza Horizon, Halo 4, Hitman Absolution, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, Need for Speed Most Wanted and WWE 13.

Blockbuster, meanwhile, if offering the game for just 99p when two of the following are handed over – Hitman Absolution, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Halo 4, 007 Legends, WWE 13, Little Big Planet Karting, Rocksmith, PlayStation All-Star Battle Royale, LEGO Lord of the Rings, F1 Race Stars, Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse and Epic Mickey 2.

GAME is including Ubisoft’s shooter in its 99p Play Now Trade Later scheme that allows you to buy the game full-price and have its full value sans 99p returned as long as it is traded-in within a certain timeframe.

We’re yet to learn of any supermarket prices.
