Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch claims the top spot in this weeks UK Top 40

Ni No Kuni claims the top spot in UK Top 40 game charts

Level-5 and Studio Ghibli’s whimsical collaboration has claimed the coveted UK number one spot with Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch. Despite stock issues at a number of retailers, such as Play, Amazon and Tesco, the Playstation 3 exclusive has secured the spot in a fantastic showing for the JRPG.

DmC Devil May Cry dropped out of the top ten this week completely as Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim saw sales boost, perhaps due to the DLC finally making its way to PS3. The only other high-profile entry this week saw the Hitman: HD Trilogy collection debut at number 5.

The GFK Chart Track UK top 10 for the week ending February 2nd is as follows:

1. Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch (Level-5)

2. FIFA 13 (EA)

3. Call Of Duty Black Ops II (Activision)

4. Far Cry 3 (Ubisoft)

5. Hitman: HD Trilogy (Square Enix)

6. Assassin’s Creed III (Ubisoft)

7. Need For Speed Most Wanted (EA)

8. Just Dance 4  (Ubisoft)

9. Hitman Absolution (Square Enix)

10. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Bethesda)
