Cliff Bleszinski: "I don’t think Kinect has been fully realised"


Epic front man and Gears Of War creator Cliff Bleszinski has admitted in a recent interview with games™, to discuss the upcoming Gears Of War: Judgment, that Kinect hasn’t quite lived up to its potential so far.

When quizzed if any ideas from the recently cancelled Gears Of War: Exile had made it across to PeopleCanFly’s new project, Bleszinski said: “There are not a lot of things that wound up in there. There’s one thing actually that you just reminded me of though, is that we are not supporting Kinect in Gears Judgment. I like Kinect, I’ve been a fan of it, but I don’t think it has been fully realised as far as the potential of the device. Dance Central 3 looks great and all, but I’m curious how the ‘core’ games will work out…”

On countless occasions Cliff has spoken out about how any Gears game that utilised Kinect would have to be built from the ground up and not just bolted on. If Exile was this game, there’s every chance that all plans have been scrapped for the time-being.
