THQ wants you to have a free copy of Metro 2033
THQ ARE looking to drive up interest on the upcoming Metro: Last Light, and have announced plans to give away copies of Metro 2033 to Facebook fans.
Starting today and continuing through to December 16, members of the Official Metro Facebook page will receive a steam code to download a free copy of the game for Windows PC.
The deal is the latest from struggling publisher who, earlier in December, launched a the THQ Humble Bundle which to date has already generated payments of over $4.5 million.
Metro 2033 was released in 2010 on PC and Xbox 360, based on Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky’s book of the same name. Metro: Last Light is due in March 2013, and while it isn’t following in the footsteps of Glukhovsky’s novels, it will be telling an original story in the oppressive post-apocalyptic world.
If you’re at-all interested in one of the more interesting FPS releases of this generation, it’s well worth signing yourself up to the Facebook page and giving Metro 2033 a try. For what it is worth, we gave it 7/10 back in issue 95.
